Contact us

Email contact@eternitytek.com with the subject starting with [ScormEtek] so it lands in the right queue. Please include:

  • What you were trying to do (e.g. "Publish a 12-page course to our LMS").
  • What happened vs. what you expected.
  • A screenshot if the issue is visual.
  • The name and version of your LMS if the SCORM zip didn't import cleanly.
  • Whether you were using the Canva app or the PowerPoint add-in.

Quick troubleshooting

The Publish button says "Run Prepare pages first"

Open the Pages tab in the app panel and click Prepare pages from Canva. The app needs to render thumbnails for each slide before it can assemble a package; re-run this any time you add or remove pages in your Canva design.

The zip downloaded but my LMS rejected it

Our packages target SCORM 1.2. If your LMS only accepts SCORM 2004 or cmi5 or xAPI, our zip won't import. Most legacy LMSes (Moodle, Canvas LMS, Blackboard, Docebo, TalentLMS, LearnDash, Cornerstone) support SCORM 1.2 out of the box. Check your LMS's "import package" UI for a content-type selector.

Audio plays briefly then stops / captions are out of sync

Re-run Prepare pages in the app. Narration audio is attached per-slide; if you uploaded the wrong file or a corrupt MP3, the per-slide audio controller won't have a valid duration and the track ends early. Replacing the file and re-publishing usually clears this.

My learner hit the quiz and now the back navigation is broken

This was a bug in earlier builds and is fixed in the current release. Re-publish the course with the latest version of the app; the player runtime is embedded in every zip and is refreshed on each publish.

I published but no file downloaded

Canva's iframe blocks direct downloads. The app uses a short-lived server relay to work around this — if a pop-up tab fails to open, check that your browser allows pop-ups from canva.com for this session.

"Navigation blocked" error in the console

You hit Publish before the download relay was wired up (very old builds), or your app's Canva Developer Portal entry doesn't list canva.ibeatyoutothis.com as a Permitted domain. Update the permitted-domain setting and re-open the app.

The app panel is blank inside Canva

Reload the Canva tab with DevTools open and send us the console log. The app emits [scormetek]-tagged lines at every mount phase, which usually pinpoints the failure.

PowerPoint add-in specific issues

If you're using the desktop PowerPoint add-in rather than the Canva app, include your PowerPoint version (File → Account), your Windows build, and whether you installed via the MSI or via F5 from source. Many PowerPoint issues are about COM timing on older Windows builds and get fixed by re-installing with the latest MSI.

Known limitations

  • SCORM 2004, cmi5, and xAPI are not yet supported — 1.2 only.
  • Right-to-left locales are partially supported; some UI-kit components may not flip correctly.
  • Courses with more than ~200 slides will publish but may strain some LMSes' file-size limits.
  • Canva's Content Publisher intent does not accept SCORM as an output format — use the in-app Publish button, not Canva's own Publish menu.
